I am a coffee savvy person. Who loves coffee in many forms. I will be sharing coffee recipes, coffee tips and facts about coffee here on my blog.

Coffee May Lower Risk of Getting Prostate Cancer

Using sample of 47,911 men, a team of researchers led by Lorelei Mucci, ScD, MPH, associate professor of epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health, found that regular drinking of decaf or regular caffeinated coffee may protect men against prostate cancer.

Citing Mucci, webmd.com reported that heavy coffee drinkers who drinking at least six or more cups a day could lower 60% risk of prostate cancer compared to nondrinkers. For medium coffee drinkers who drinking one to three cups daily could lower the risk factor by 29% compared to nondrinkers.

Data provided by American Cancer Society shows that in America today there were 217,730 cases of prostate cancer while close to 15% of those died annually.

Now in this video you will see that this study has been going on for 20 years. Dr. William Catalona at Northwestern Memorial Hospital says, "If they can figure out what is in the coffee that prevents prostate cancer that they can come up with the cure for prostate cancer".

So, guys this gives you a great reason to have those extra cups of coffee. Ladies I will have a future post on coffee and cervical cancer.

True that! I am! It all started decades ago when I started to work on overnights. You know, third shift or grave yard shift. I have had years of trying coffee in many flavors and many ways. My crew members use to bake it and I have too. That is why this blog is named Coffee Love. Thanks for the comment Bhavna and comming by.
